- 500g plain flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 400ml plain yoghurt
- 2 tbsp milk

Method
- Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
- Mix together the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda in a large bowl.
- Add the yoghurt and milk to the bowl and mix until it forms a dough.
- Dust a clean work surface with flour and knead the dough lightly for 1 minute.
- Shape the dough into a round and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Cut a deep cross into the top of the dough with a knife.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Leave to cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
