- 1 sachet fast-action yeast
- 300ml warm water

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the wholemeal flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. 3. Add the warm water and olive oil to the bowl and mix until a dough forms. 4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for approximately 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic. 5. Place the dough into a greased bread tin, cover with a damp tea towel, and leave to rise for approximately 30 minutes. 6. Once the dough has risen, place the bread tin into the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. 7. Remove the bread from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.Notes
